Something About Us

It is our commitment to assist our community by providing quality entertainment in a variety of ways.

The Celtic United Pipes & Drums was established in the fall of 2004, we practice at the Plainfield Township Volunteer Fire Co in Wind Gap, Pa.

The Celtic United Pipes & Drums is a member run organization whose purpose is to promote the art of music. Specifically organized to foster, train and teach Celtic music and to participate in various community events, parades and other social functions.

The band is under the leadership of Drum Major Steve LaBadie, Pipe Major Gene Kutzler, Pipe Sergeant Tim Kutz, and Drum Sergeant McLeen Peeke. We take our heritage, music and band seriously but also know how to have fun!

The band meets every Monday night from 7:00 – 9:00PM. The 1st and 3rd Mondays from 7:00 – 8:00 PM are dedicated to student instruction for both pipes and drums. In the tradition of pipe bands across the world, and to pass on the craft to future generations, lessons are free to all interested and conscientious persons. The rest of the time is dedicated to band practice.

Our practices are open to the public, please stop in!

The band donates its services and performs at events such as, awards ceremonies, fire/police memorials, and community events.

Our band includes community members from all walks of life who have a love of the Scottish and Irish history, culture and especially its music.
